What happen's when I beat the main game?
Hey. This is for the gamers who have beat the game already. What happen's once I finish the game? Do I get to free roam? Like do quests, take contracts, kill random monsters? Or once the game ends its all over?
yes, you get to do all those things, you are free in the world, you can do what you want
Thanks man. Like I plan to finish the main story, then do the hearts of stone dlc and finally the blood and wine. Any suggestions?

i would recommend playing Hearts of Stone before the battle of Kaer Morhen. Blood and Wine though you should indeed play after finishing the main story.
It depends on your current level. If you're already at lvl 30 before the Battle of Kaer Morhen, you can play HoS. Not recommendable at a lower level because the bossfights can be pretty tough - same with Blood & Wine. Some quests in the main game might not be doable once you go to the Isle of Mists and then proceed to the Battle of Kaer Morhen but the game will warn you about that before you move on. Once you've finished the main story, you can do all the side quests, contracts and treasure hunts that are still available. Also, you can uncover all the question marks and just roam about.

While this leads to interesting dialogue lines with Vesemir and the countess, this is not a good recommendation for a first timer.
To get a level high enough to not have a horrible time in the HoS territory, you need to optimize your vanilla quests really strictly, and that goes against natural and enjoyable gameplay. HoS should be done whenever the level is appropriate. For most people, that is at some point in act 3, after the battle for Kaer Morhen.
Finishing the game took over 300 hours for me. Because it took me so long, after the main quest Geralt died of old age
After finishing the game you put down you controller and ask yourself if life worth continuing. That's what happen when you finish this masterpiece^^
Yeah, you should first finish the main game, then playing hos and after you finish everything in Novigrad,Velen and co. you should move to B&W.
After you beat the main game, you will be able to do all the side quests, contracts and co. Only a few side quests will become not available (Like quests with Triss, Yen, Djikstra) when you don't finish them, before you move to "The Isle of Mist", but the game will warn you before that will happen

You start NG+
simple as that
@faranfluffy, I would do them in the order they came out. I'd play the base game, then HoS, and then BaW (After you've cleared out all of the other maps.).
